Frazer Kennedy & Friends have been entertaining live audiences for over twenty years. Here’s a glimpse into their musical roots that made them who they are today.
From Pubs to Clubs, Casinos in London & Festivals all over the world.
A Saturday night spot at London’s famous jazz club, where Frazer and the band showed off jazz arrangements of his original songs to a full house of music lovers, well aware that little stage has played host to music legends such as crooner Tony Bennett, George Melly, Nat Gonella, Marlene VerPlanck, Digby Fairweather, Cleo Laine, John Dankworth and oh so many more!
Frazer appeared many times in the Friday night line-up, solo with his trusty acoustic, as a warm-up for the evening’s headline acts and was proud to have the opportunity to introduce his brand of music to new audiences.
There are not many prestige venues that you can pack out with an audience of under a 100. But Frazer & Friends did on the night in London’s Tin Pan Alley ‘Indie-Blues’ club.
Frazer, Rick Joseph and Doctor Joe were filling the hot spot on Saturday night. The trio showing exactly what could be done with three acoustic guitars and some great original songs. The set finished just in time for the trio to catch Brian Wilson and his twenty piece orchestra. And so the festival audience were treated to 2 great contrasting sets in one night. “Overall an excellent show with original material that was toe-tapping and hand clapping while also managing to be thoughtful and dark.”
It’s not everyone who gets to share the billing with a Rolling Stone! When Frazer and Friends were invited to play the Main Stage at this prestigious festival he was excited to be sharing the billing with the Stone’s bassist Bill Wyman and his Rhythm Kings, Georgie Fame, Legendary Guitarist Albert Lee and Gary Brooker.
The Borderline was a nice watering hole and suited Frazer’s early roots
